On Wednesday, October 8th, you are warmly invited to the next gathering of credentialed leaders in the Ohio Mennonite Conference for a day of Scripture study, fellowship, and discernment. Building on our previous studies—Anabaptist Approaches to Interpreting Scripture (Acts 15) and Foundations to the Future (1 Corinthians 3)—we now turn to 2 Corinthians 5:14–20 to explore how we, as pastors and chaplains, are called to embody the ministry of reconciliation in our personal lives, congregations, and communities.
This retreat, happening November 7-9, has been designed to provide an affordable time away for pastors and their support person. The retreat will offer a combination of organized activities as well as unstructured time. During the weekend, participants will be encouraged to rest in the Lord, refresh through downtime, self-care and partner care, and to reconnect with their support person and with other pastoral couples. The retreat will end with a worship service on Sunday morning. The facilitator for this event will be Mark “Woody” Woods.
The cost of this retreat is $300 per pair. The price includes a room for two nights, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast, and snacks.
