Central Christian School in Kidron hosted the 2023 Annual Conference Assembly (ACA) on March 3-4, 2023. The theme of the gathering was be “Doing Life Together: Rooted and Grounded in Love,” based on Ephesians 3:16-21. One hundred fifty-three delegates from 35 congregations participated in ACA. Zion Mennonite hosts 2022 ACA
Zion Mennonite Church in Archbold hosted the 2022 Annual Conference Assembly (ACA) on March 4-5, 2022. A total of 156 people attended the 2022 ACA, including 133 delegates from 34 congregations. See the ACA report for more details.
2021 ACA was held online
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ohio Conference held its 2021 Annual Conference Assembly (ACA) virtually rather than in person. On March 6 delegates from all around the Conference met on Zoom for business sessions and worship. The featured speaker during the worship service was Brad Roth, pastor and author of God’s Country: Faith, Hope, and the Future of the Rural Church.
One hundred thirty-three people registered for ACA, including 122 delegates from 32 congregations. The offering at this year’s ACA was given toward Ohio Conference’s general fund. The total given was $2,069, including giving from delegates during the registration process and the ACA worship service.
Sharing stories at ACA
Delegates heard about how Central Mennonite Church began livestreaming worship services and some of the lessons learned.
Delegates also heard about Series on Solidarity, a video series created by pastors of Ohio Conference congregations in Wayne County.
Sharon Mennonite Church in Plain City hosted the 2020 Annual Conference Assembly (ACA) on Saturday, March 7. The theme for this assembly was “Hearts of Wisdom,” based on Psalm 90:12.
One hundred seventy-three people took part in ACA, including delegates from 36 congregations.
Salem Mennonite in Kidron hosts 2019 ACA
Salem Mennonite Church in Kidron hosted the 2019 Annual Conference Assembly (ACA) of the Ohio Conference March 8-9. The theme for the gathering was “From Jerusalem to Antioch: Legacy Churches Anchoring Missional Communities.”
Two hundred four people participated in ACA, including 162 delegates from 38 congregations.
Featured speakers were Sally Schreiner Youngquist of Living Water Community Church in Chicago, Illinois, and Steve North, leader of LifeLine Toledo in Toledo, Ohio.
