New Program and Communication Coordinator to begin on July 1

My name is Sháqūez Dickens. I am originally from Wooster, Ohio, where I previously worked in various roles at The College of Wooster. I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with my Bachelor’s in Business and will soon graduate with my Master’s in Organizational Leadership. My husband, Bob, and I live in Wooster with our five children: Nevaeh, Legna, Traeh, Luos, and Tirips. We have been members of Wooster Mennonite Church for several years and look forward to raising our children in an environment full of faith and love. My family loves being outdoors. One of our favorite places to enjoy is Gatlinburg, Tennessee. That is the place where we have found ourselves more in sync with one another and able to experience pure joy in the mountains. In my spare time, I try to enjoy photography. I love taking pictures of my family and friends and capturing their special moments for memories. I also love to read and bake any chance I get.

My heart is drawn to serving others. God calls me to serve Him through serving His people in any way He leads me. The more I learn about Ohio Mennonite Conference, the more excited I am to be a partner in this community and help with the work this incredible organization does. My hope is to be a vessel that faithfully serves the conference.

Thank you for warmly welcoming me to your Conference community!

Sháqūez will begin July 1. A big thank you to Alysa Short who will continue through July to orient Sháqūez to the program and communication areas.
