Delegate News – Looking Forward to ACA
Looking forward to seeing you at ACA
Annual Conference Assembly (ACA) is almost here! We are looking forward to seeing many of you at Sharon Mennonite Church on March 1-2. This issue of Delegate News includes many last-minute reminders to help you prepare for our annual gathering.
Registration is still open
If you are planning on attending ACA, please make sure you are preregistered. Register online at https://bit.ly/2024ACARegistration.
Please pray for ACA
Please join us in praying for the Annual Conference Assembly on March 1-2:
- For opening our eyes to what it means for us today to have a Jesus-shaped faith as Meghan Good bears witness to the winds of the Spirit: from scripture, from her experience and from connections with others. We would love to pack the place for these sessions!
- For eyes to see future possibilities as delegates (hopefully) adopt a Conference strategic plan for the next three years. If we think of administration as pastoral care for the organization, these actions care for the health of Ohio Conference and lean into a future that delegates have discerned as they have participated in cluster meetings over the last two years.
— Dan Miller, interim conference minister
Prayer partners sought for ACA
We are still seeking prayer partners to pray for our time together at ACA. Please share this announcement with your congregation:
Ohio Conference’s Annual Conference Assembly (ACA) is quickly approaching on March 1-2, 2024. Even if you are not attending ACA, you can still participate! We invite you to sign up to help cover all of ACA in prayer.
We are looking for willing individuals to commit to praying 20 minutes during the ACA weekend. You can do this from anywhere — your couch, your church, your office, even while on a walk. If you live close to Sharon Mennonite Church in Plain City, you can even come and pray in the ACA prayer room (Room #12) at the church.

ACA begins on Friday morning
This year ACA will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 1, with the start of registration. The first delegate work session will begin at 10 a.m. Please see the 2024 ACA schedule for more information on the order of events on both days.
Please bring these documents to ACA
As you prepare for ACA, we ask that you make sure you have copies of the documents that will be discussed in delegate sessions. Links to these documents are given below. Please either print out the documents and bring them along or have them downloaded to your electronic device. We want to avoid overloading the Wi-Fi service at Sharon Mennonite Church by having a large number of people trying to access documents via Wi-Fi at the same time.

Don’t forget your donations!
This year as a service project at ACA, Ohio Conference will be collecting grocery items for Daily Needs Assistance, a nonprofit agency serving those in need in the Plain City area. Please see the donation list for suggested items.
A word about COVID
COVID levels are on the decline around Plain City. Many of us don’t want to think about COVID anymore. However, if you are sick, please do not attend ACA. And if you are immunocompromised or have underlying medical conditions that put you at risk, please feel free to wear a mask.
Be aware of traffic concerns
Members of the Plain City community advise delegates to be aware that Route 33 can be very congested, causing slow travel. Delegates staying at hotels in Marysville are advised to take an alternate route to Sharon Mennonite Church. See this link for the suggested route: https://goo.gl/maps/RyWP5tfgYzgaN646A.
Orientation videos are online
In case you missed it: Orientation sessions for new delegates and table group leaders were held online earlier this week. If you are a new delegate or table group leader and missed your orientation session, please view the recording prior to ACA. Links are below:
