Everence’s MyNeighbor program benefits Ohio Conference, other nonprofits
During January the Ohio Conference received a check for $1,077.66 from Everence Financial as part of Everence’s MyNeighbor credit card program.
With the MyNeighbor program, individuals and businesses generate reward dollars for their favorite nonprofit every time they use their MyNeighbor credit cards from Everence.
Everence donates 1.5 percent of each purchase to the card user’s chosen nonprofit agency. Then each January Everence writes and sends checks to the selected charities.
In total, Everence Financial donated more than $386,000 in January 2020 to 497 charitable organizations and congregations through its MyNeighbor program. In Northeast Ohio alone, MyNeighbor cardholders generated $15,613 for 31 local charities.
“The MyNeighbor program is just one way we are helping our members spread generosity in our communities,” said Ken Hochstetler, President and CEO of Everence. “In only two and a half years, we’ve donated nearly $1 million to local and global nonprofits that our members care for — that’s the kind of work I am passionate about!”
Thanks to all who have designated the Ohio Conference as their “neighbor” in this program. To learn more about the MyNeighbor program, see the Everence website: http://bit.ly/EverenceMyNeighbor.
