Ohio Conference and Central District Conference are hosting a free workshop featuring ecumenical conversation about baptism on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Columbus Mennonite Church.

“Believe and Be Baptized: Conversations on a 500-year Tradition” will be led by John D. Roth, a history professor at Goshen College. This workshop is open to all in the Ohio Conference.

Recently, representatives of the Mennonite World Conference, the Lutheran World Federation, and the Roman Catholic Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity explored many questions related to baptism in a groundbreaking five-year ecumenical conversation. This workshop will introduce participants to this Trilateral Dialogue and invite Mennonite participants to come to a deeper understanding of baptism through conversations with each other and with local Lutheran and Catholic clergy.

Lunch will be served. There is no charge for this workshop, but registration is required. Register online at https://bit.ly/Believe-BeBaptized.
