Ohio Conference congregations gave $31,459 to the Conference in September, more than in any other month of the 2016-17 fiscal year. According to figures provided by Stan Helmuth, Conference financial coordinator, total receipts for the month of September were $31,477, and expenses totaled $22,354, resulting in a surplus of $9,123 for the month. That surplus improved the Conference’s operating balance for 2016-17. At the end of August, the operating balance was -$30,117, and by the end of September, the operating balance was -$20,994.
