This July a group of bike riders in Ohio will be raising funds for Mennonite Central Committee’s (MCC) peace projects.

Participants in the Ohio MCC Bike Ride will be riding 100 miles on the Ohio to Erie Trail July 15-16, using the London, Ohio, trailhead as a starting point on both days. Riders will head north toward Columbus one day, and head south toward Cedarville on the other, riding about 50 miles each day.

In 2022 participants in the Ohio MCC Bike Ride raised more than $6,000 for MCC’s emergency response work in Ukraine while riding in northeast Ohio. This year, organizers of the ride hope to raise $8,000 for MCC peace projects.

Prairie Grass Trailhead, located at 262 West High St., London, Ohio, will be the staging grounds for the ride and the overnight camping location. Restrooms are available as well as a primitive shower. Riders are also free to make other arrangements for overnight lodging.
