Proposed constitutional changes to be introduced at fall cluster meetings
At this year’s cluster meetings, we will be introducing some proposed changes to the Ohio Conference Constitution. In order to make allowance for congregations that wish to remain a part of Ohio Conference, but not the denomination, we have proposed the changes that are found on page six and page eight.
Additionally, we have removed some sections of the constitution that have become obsolete. This would include the Choice Books Management Board (no longer under the auspices of Ohio Conference) and the Ohio Conference Grant Writer (no longer a position that we fill).
And lastly, terminology has been changed for consistency (“financial coordinator” instead of “treasurer”) and for current job titles (“coordinator of volunteers” instead of “resource team coordinator”). Job descriptions also have been updated to reflect current roles. For example, the financial coordinator no longer sits on the Stewardship Ministry Team or Leadership Team since the position is now a contracted one.
Please look over the proposed constitutional changes prior to the cluster meeting you are attending. Thank you!
