SUMMARY:Enhancing and Equipping for Worship Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Oct. 5-6\, 2018\, Central Mennonite Church in Archbold is hosting Rachel Miller Jacobs for a one-and-a-half-day workshop titled “Enhancing and Equipping for Worship.” Rachel Miller Jacobs is associate professor of congregational formation at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart\, Indiana. \nBreak-out workshops\, worship\, food\, and fellowship are planned for this educational and inspirational experience for worship leaders and planners\, lay persons and pastors.  The Worship Ministry Team at Central Mennonite Church is planning this ecumenical event. \nWorkshop topics will include worship leading\, using the lectionary\, hymn leading\, visual art in worship\, and writing words for worship. \nThe registration fee for this event is $20 per person for those registering by Sept. 15\, and $30 per person for those registering after that date. SUMMARY:Fall Mission Event
DESCRIPTION:Central Mennonite Church in Archbold is hosting one of three regional Ohio Conference Fall Mission Events. \nThe meeting will include time for brief presentations and group discussion. The first part of the meeting will focus on what has happened so far in the Ohio Conference Year of Mission. Participants will be encouraged to talk about how their congregations have used the materials provided so far (the packet of materials which is online\, as well as the content of the “Becoming Missional” training session from March just prior to the 2016 Annual Conference Assembly). The second part of the meeting will have a “looking forward” focus\, getting people ready for the March 2017 missional training event with Alan and Debra Hirsch. \nIn addition to the mission emphasis\, the meeting will include a brief time of reporting from the Ohio Conference Leadership Team. This last portion of the meeting is especially important for delegates to Annual Conference Assembly\, but all participants are invited to stay for the business portion of the meeting. \nThe Fall Mission Event will also take place Oct. 11 at Jubilee Mennonite Church in Bellefontaine and Nov. 3 at Berlin Mennonite Church.
