The Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions (CSCS) is leading a cross-country bike ride to raise awareness regarding climate change and related issues, as well as to learn and to connect with people along the way. CSCS is a collaborative initiative of Goshen College, Eastern Mennonite University, and Mennonite Central Committee.

The Climate Ride started in Seattle May 31 and will take about two months, ending in Washington, D.C. Sixteen young adult riders plan to complete the entire ride.

One of the riders, Elizabeth Miller, is a member of West Clinton Mennonite Church in Wauseon. She and several other riders have contributed to a blog about their experiences riding across the country. To read her blog post, “Finding Connections,” see https://bit.ly/ClimateRideJune4Reflection.

There are opportunities to sign up to join the riders for a day, including one day in Ohio. On  July 20, the riders will start in Millersburg and end in New Cumberland. Several virtual and in-person “community townhall” meetings are also planned.
