For the second year in a row, the Ohio Conference has ended its fiscal year in the black, according to figures provided by Financial Coordinator Stan Helmuth. On March 31, 2018, the Conference finished the 2017-18 fiscal year with an operating surplus of $54,840.

In comparison, the Conference finished the 2016-17 fiscal year with an operating surplus of $22,095. Before that time, the Ohio Conference had five years with an end-of-year operating deficit. (See the accompanying chart for details.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Both congregational giving and gifts from individuals were higher in 2017-18 than in the previous fiscal year. Congregations gave a total of $318,847 in 2017-18. In contrast, during the 2016-17 fiscal year, congregational giving totaled just $297,055. Individual gifts in 2017-18 totaled $23,821, compared to $21,094 in 2016-17.
