Year of MissionHow have you seen God at work in your congregation during the Ohio Conference Year of Mission? This fall, members of all Ohio Conference congregations are invited to gather together at Fall Mission Events to share stories of how their churches are engaging in God’s mission in their local communities.

Everyone in Ohio Conference is invited to attend the Fall Mission Event at one of three locations:

  • Oct. 11 — Jubilee Mennonite Church in Bellefontaine
  • Oct. 20 — Central Mennonite Church in Archbold
  • Nov. 3 — Berlin Mennonite Church

Each meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last about an hour and a half.

The meetings will include time for brief presentations and group discussion. The first part of each meeting will focus on what has happened so far in the Ohio Conference Year of Mission. Participants will be encouraged to talk about how they see God at work in their congregations. The second part of the meeting will have a “looking forward” focus, getting people ready for the March 2017 missional training event with Alan and Debra Hirsch.

In addition to the mission emphasis, each meeting will include a brief time of reporting from the Ohio Conference Leadership Team. This last portion of the meeting is especially important for delegates to Annual Conference Assembly, but all participants are invited to stay for the business portion of the meeting.
