Ohio Conference is sponsoring a Young Adult Retreat at Camp Luz in Kidron Sept. 6-8. Speaker Deb Horst will be focusing on the theme “God is Greater.” Please mark your calendar now. More details will follow.

The Ohio Conference Ministry Development Team is encouraging Conference congregations to send pastors and their spouses to the Ohio Conference Pastor-Spouse Retreat, which will take place Nov. 8-10 at the Mohican State Park Lodge. Because of underwriting by two sponsors, Mennonite Mutual Insurance and Ohio Mennonite Women, the cost of this retreat is only $220 for the first 30 couples who register. The Black Swamp Benefit, a family festival supporting the work of Sunshine Inc. of Northwest Ohio and Mennonite Central Committee, will be held June 14-15, 2013, at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Wauseon, Ohio. Friday night activities include many food booths, BSB JAM: a contemporary concert in the grandstand, along with the Silent Auction and Mini-Auction of specialty wood and craft items. Returning events include the well-received Bullfrog 5k Run as well as the Oozeball Mud Volleyball Tournament on Saturday morning. Games and activities are planned for the young along with the annual Children’s Auction on Saturday morning.
