The third Year of Covenant Meeting for Pastors will take place Thursday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Toledo Mennonite Church. Pastors of Ohio Conference congregations will meet for a day of discussion.

The first two Year of Covenant meetings have focused on the nature of covenant making and on the mission of God as a backdrop for the future mission of the Ohio Conference. This meeting is intended to help us look at some of the relational components of covenanting together for the future of the Ohio Conference.

Goals for the meeting

• Identify behaviors on the part of pastors, congregations and Conference that have built trust and strengthened relationships and those that have eroded trust and strained relationships, taking ownership where needed.
• Identify and begin to agree upon core relational commitments and processes that can sustain healthy relationships in the future.
• Provide a means for people to acknowledge and release hurts they have carried related to interactions within the Conference
• Begin to identify the shape of next steps forward
